Independence police ID victim in Saturday homicide

UPDATE, Dec. 7, 6:30 p.m. | Independence police have identified the victim as 50-year-old Kent "Bo" Mcintosh, of Independence.

UPDATE, December 6 | Kansas City, Mo., police recovered a pickup truck matching this description from the water at 23rd and Topping on Saturday night. Independence police believe that truck is the same vehicle involved in the homicide on South Oxford Avenue. The homicide investigation is ongoing.

ORIGINAL STORY| One man is dead following a shooting Saturday in Independence.

Police responded around 3:22 p.m. Saturday to the 3300 block of South Oxford Avenue, where the victim was located.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police are searching for two people who left the scene in a white, single-cab Chevrolet pickup with U-Haul logos.
