Independence police investigate Monday night shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Independence police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night.

Officers responded to the 2200 block of South Sterling Avenue around 8:40 p.m., where an adult male was located "in the driveway of a residence," according to police. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.

No one is in custody.
