INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – A 22-year-old para-professional, coach and substitute teacher is facing two counts of having sexual contact with students from an Independence high school.

Court documents released Thursday allege Robert Bluett exchanged sexually explicit messages and received sexual acts from two William Chrisman High School students.

Investigators first learned of the allegations when police were notified by the Missouri Department of Children and Families in March.

Investigators allege that Bluett befriended a 16-year-old girl. The exchange included the girl sending Bluett nude photos.

When Bluett was interviewed by police, he admitted that he had sexual contact with two other students from the high school.

In one instance, the victim, a 17-year-old girl, performed oral sex on Bluett at a location away from the high school.

A third victim, identified as a 17-year-old girl, performed oral sex on Bluett in a closed restroom at the high school.

In a statement, an Independence School District spokeswoman said high school staff followed protocol and the employee is no longer at the district.

Prosecutors have requested a $75,000 bond for Bluett.
