JoCo prosecutors charge man, 22, in Olathe standoff

OLATHE, Kan. — A 22-year-old man is facing charges after refusing to cooperate with police during an eight-hour standoff Tuesday.

Prosecutors have charged Jacob Sebol of Olathe, Kansas with one count aggravated criminal threat after he holed up an apartment building off of 121st and Strang Line Road.

Police were first called to the apartments at 10 a.m. After several hours of negotiation, Sebol surrendered without incident around 6 p.m.

He remains in the Johnson County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
