KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is investigating a man's death Sunday morning in the Northland as a homicide after originally investigating the incident as a suspicious death.

At about 5:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of NW 62nd Terrace regarding a possible shooting call.

According to police, a caller indicated a person was inside a house who needed medical attention.

Once officers arrived, they were led to a residence where they found a man unresponsive inside with unknown injuries.

Officers then called for emergency medical personnel, who responded and declared the man dead at the scene.
