KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teen died in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in south Kansas City, Missouri.
The shooting happened in the 9800 block of Newton Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene just before 2 p.m. and found Darrell Weldon, 17, suffering from gun shot wounds.
Weldon was transported to an area hospital and later died.
No word on what led to the violence.
