Kansas City, Missouri, police investigate deadly Monday night shooting in 5000 block of Olive Street

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday night in the 5000 block of Olive Street.

Police were called to the area just after 9 p.m. in regards to gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man inside a residence who had been shot. He was identified Wednesday as Rahjee Byers, 24, of KCMO.

Byers was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police do not have any suspect information at this time.
