KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating after they found a man shot to death Tuesday night.
Officers were sent about 9:15 p.m. to check on reports of a man armed with a gun in the 3300 block of Indiana Avenue.
They found a man shot to death on a sidewalk in the 3400 block of Indiana Avenue, police said.
Detectives are trying to determine whether the man reportedly armed with a gun is the same man found dead from gunshot wounds.
A police spokesman said the death has not been ruled a homicide.
KCPD identified William L. Pearson, 29, as the victim Wednesday, reiterating that "this is still considered a death investigation at this time."
