Kansas City Police investigating homicide near 25th and Hardesty

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Police are investigating an overnight homicide.

Police say they were called to the 2500 block of Hardesty around 1:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a man lying on the sidewalk who had been shot.

Police say KCFD EMS arrived at the same time and declared the victim dead.

Police say no one is in custody.

Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shots being fired and the victim being struck.
