KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Jackson County judge on Wednesday found a woman guilty of killing a man during a violent argument.

Michelle Dunkin, 42, of Kansas City, Missouri, was convicted of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and felon in possession of a weapon in a March 2018 incident in a house in the 1800 block of Cleveland Avenue.

Dunkin admitted to police she shot the victim, Michael Fisher, after Fisher had already been stabbed during an argument.

Fisher fell down the stairs into a basement.

Police went to the house after receiving a tip and found Fisher dead in the basement.

Dunkin also was in the house and was taken into custody.

The judge is scheduled to sentence Dunkin on June 13.
