KBI identifies remains belonging to missing SE Kansas woman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Human remains discovered last August in a field near Ford and 50th roads in rural Neosho County, Kansas, were identified recently as those of Marissa M. Craft.

Craft was last seen Dec. 15, 2017, leaving her mobile home in Chanute, Kansas, with three men in a white, Dodge truck. She was 39 at the time.

Her remains were discovered approximately 20 miles south of Chanute, a southeast Kansas town of 9,000 people approximately two hours southwest of Kansas City on U.S. 169.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Neosho County Sheriff’s Office and Chanute Police Department continue to investigate her death.
