KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man has been charged in a July 2019 fatal shooting, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.

Campbell is accused of fatally shooting Corey Richardson on July 9, 2019, near 57th Street and McGee Street in Kansas City, Missouri.

The prosecutor's office said phone records revealed the last messages on the victim's phone were from Campbell and the Crime Lab found DNA "likely belonging to the defendant" on shotgun rounds found near Richardson's body.
