KCKPD investigates homicide of 15-year-old boy

UPDATE, Sept. 28 | The victim was identified as 15-year-old Luis Velasquez-Chavez of Kansas City, Kansas. He was a student at J.C. Harmon High School.

ORIGINAL STORY, Sept. 26 | Kansas City, Kansas, police investigated the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy on Saturday night.

Police responded around 6 p.m. to the 4400 block of Adams Street on a reported shooting.

The male victim was transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.

This is the 39th homicide in KCK in 2020.
