KCMO police investigate homicide in 9300 block of Bales Avenue

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Keith M. Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri.

Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a homicide Monday afternoon.

Just before 2 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched on a sound of shots call in the 9300 block of Bales Avenue.

Officers responded and found a male victim down in a parking lot. Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital where he died.
