KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police have identified the 41-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man who was run over and killed by a vehicle Monday in what is being investigated as a homicide.

According to the KCPD, Felipe Carillo was run over by a Jeep SUV in a park in the 2400 block of Blue Valley Park Road West shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

KCPD released his name Tuesday afternoon.

“Evidence indicated the collision was an intentional act, therefore the case was turned over to the Homicide Unit,” KCPD said in a statement Monday night.

A KCPD spokesperson said the incident happened after an argument.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene, and the Jeep was found abandoned near East 23rd Street and Topping Avenue.

Carillo died at the scene, according to police.
