Kansas City police are investigating after a man was shot in a home invasion overnight.
Officers were dispatched to a house in the 5000 block of North Brighton on a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man shot on the kitchen floor. He was transported to a hospital.
The suspects had fled the scene.
Police said family members, including two children, were home.
No one else was injured.
