KCPD investigating 2 homicides Tuesday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police investigated two separate homicides on Tuesday morning.

The first occurred at a construction site located in the 7300 block of NE 46th Terrace, which is near Worlds of Fun.

Police said callers saw a man down on the ground and called for help. EMS declared the man deceased, and his death is being investigated as suspicious.

Police on Thursday identified the victim as 39-year-old Travis Stamper.

The second homicide on Tuesday happened near East 43rd Street and North Askew Avenue, police said.

The victim was identified as 43-year-old Elijah K. Zakka.
