KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE 7:30 PM 11/3/2017: Kansas City police have identified 35-year-old John C. Jones as the man who was killed Wednesday at 16th and Lister.

Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a car that was flipped over and appeared gunshot damage.
Police responded to a shooting call around 5 p.m. Wednesday near 16th and Lister and found the vehicle flipped on its roof on the sidewalk.
He's described as a black male but officials have yet to release his identity.
Police say witnesses saw three black males flee the scene after the shooting in a dark blue or black vehicle.
