KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are looking for two men suspected in a deadly shooting earlier this month that occurred in broad daylight at the edge of the River Market neighborhood.
In a video posted to the department’s social media accounts, Sgt. Janice Heins said police are looking for two black men who approached the parking lot of the Cold Storage Lofts, 500 E. 3rd St., around 5:20 p.m. on May 4.
Several witnesses told police that one of the men approached the victim, identified as 41-year-old Charles Shirley, and fired shots into his vehicle, killing him.
After the shooting, the two suspects fled eastbound on Third Street, Heins said.
The men got into a blue Toyota Camry, which police have identified as a rental vehicle.

Police are looking for information on the vehicle and who had possession of it on the day of the shooting, as well as any information on the suspects.
One of the men was wearing all black with gray shorts, and the other man was wearing all black, Heins said.
