KCPD shoots at gunman in Westport

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was taken into custody early Sunday morning, after Kansas City police said he shot at people in Westport.

Police said they were patrolling the area of Westport and Mill around 2:00 a.m. Officers said they saw a man shooting at someone. One officer fired at the alleged gunman. He was taken into custody a short time later. Police said a gun was recovered at the scene.

No one was hurt as a result of either party firing their weapon.
