Four people were charged Friday in a kidnapping where one victim was left bound and gagged in a Russell, Kansas field.

Jeremy Dobson, 30, his brother Joshua Dobson, 25, Courtney `Devero, 25, and Justin D. Watson, 21, face charges of one count of kidnapping and one count of using of firearm during a violent crime, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri in Kansas City.

The two victims' ordeal began March 10 at a house near East 27th Street and Benton Boulevard in Kansas City.

Jeremy Dobson allegedly got mad at a former girlfriend who was at the house. Dobson punched the woman in the face and a man pushed Dobson away, according to the news release.

The affidavit says Dobson pulled a gun, pointed the weapon at the man and woman and fired a shot at the woman's head. The shot missed.

Dobson allegedly made the two victims give him their cellphones and other personal items, according to the release.

According to the affidavit, the pair were led to the basement, and the men, along with a juvenile girl, tied the victims to a pole with zip ties, rope and electrical wire.

They allegedly took turns watching the victims, beating them and threatening to kill them, the news release says.

In addition, the two victims spent several hours in a locked car trunk.

Jeremy Dobson, Watson and the juvenile girl allegedly made the male victim get in a car and the group drove away.

The affidavit says the woman pleaded with Joshua Dobson and Devero at the house to take her to a hospital, and they complied.

The news release says the woman had injuries to her wrists, ankles and face.

Jeremy Watson allegedly drove the male victim and two others to Russell, Kansas. The male victim was left bound and gagged in a field there.

He was able to free himself and walked to the Russell Police Department.

Watson allegedly used the victim's debit card during the trip to get $1,200, according to the news release. They stopped again and Dobson allegedly bought Nike Air Jordan shoes, according to the news release.

Justin Watson was asked to go to a Wal Mart while Jeremy Dobson and the juvenile girl waited in a motel room. Watson drove back to Kansas City without Dobson and the girl.

Police arrested Watson, Devero and Joshua Dobson this week, but Jeremy Dobson is still on the run.
