The Lansing, Kansas, police chief says his department is working a deadly stabbing.
Just after 11 p.m. Thursday, police were called out to the Lansing Heights Townhomes in the 300 block of Frances Lane on a reported stabbing.
Police Chief Steve Wayman says police are investigating the stabbing death as a homicide, though they are gathering information that there might have been some self-defense involved.
The suspect in the case is cooperating with police.
Wayman says the victim has been identified as 26-year-old Leavenworth resident Brian Jones.
