An elderly Leavenworth woman was killed on Saturday evening by a relative, officials said.
The Leavenworth Police Department was called to the home, located at 1024 6th Avenue, around 4 p.m.
When officers arrived, they discovered an 85-year-old woman had been killed.
A 59-year-old woman was arrested at the scene. Officers say she was related to the victim.
Detectives are continuing the murder investigation.
