KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, man faces charges after he allegedly fatally stabbed another man on July 31.
The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office announced the charges against 39-year-old Syan R. Crawford Monday.
Crawford is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
On July 31, Larry Dickerson called police to report a suspicious person sleeping in the laundry room of an apartment complex near Linwood and Benton boulevards.
The person, later identified as Crawford, told Dickerson he would retaliate for calling the police on him.
A witness told police the two were arguing before Crawford allegedly stabbed Dickerson once in the chest and left, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Dickerson died from his injuries on Aug. 2.
Crawford is being held on a requested $500,000 bond.
