KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Peculiar, Missouri, police announced Monday that a man was charged in connection to the Friday death of a Peculiar woman.
According to police, they were called to a residence in Windmill Estates around 4:45 p.m. for a welfare check.
When police gained entry to the home, they found 57-year-old Lori Chevalier dead. They did not say what caused her death.
Peculiar police, with the help of the Metro Squad, identified a suspect and submitted the information to Cass County prosecutors.
Gerald Lee Chevalier was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
Police did not say if or how the suspect is related to the victim.
Chevalier is in the Cass County Jail being held on a $250,000 bond.
