Man dies in Monday evening double shooting in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a shooting that killed a man on Monday evening.

At around 6:13 p.m., officers responded to Oakley Avenue and east 16th Street on reports of a shooting.

Responding officers began searching the area and later received reports of shooting in the 5600 block of east 17th Street.

When officers arrived at that location, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. They were transported to an area hospital where they later died.

A second victim arrived at at University Health with non-life-threatening injuries. They were later listed in stable condition.

Police later identified the victim who died as 31-year-old Tristan Jeffrey.
