Man dead in overnight Raytown homicide

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Raytown, Missouri, police are investigating a homicide that happened in the 11600 block of East 60th Street.

Officers were called to the scene just before 1 a.m. on reports of shots fired inside a home.

When they got there, they found a dead man inside with apparent gunshot wounds.

The Raytown Police Department identified the victim Friday as Jerry L. Riley Jr., 32, of Kansas City, Missouri.

Two women were taken into custody at the scene.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and noted Friday that no charges have been filed at this time.
