KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating a man’s death as a homicide after his body was found decomposing inside a home this week.
The man was found dead around 8 p.m. Wednesday in a home in the 4200 block of St. John Avenue, KCPD spokesman Sgt. Jake Becchina said Friday.
Becchina said the victim was found “in a state of decomposition.” Based on circumstances, the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.
The man’s death is the 14th homicide reported in Kansas City in 2019.
