Man found shot to death outside Kansas City apartment building

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police were called to the area of Northwest 54th and North Summit streets on a report of gunshots in the area around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.

When they arrived, officers found a man outside an apartment building in the 5300 block of North Summit Street suffering from gunshot wounds.

He later died.

KCPD identified the shooting victim Thursday afternoon as 20-year-old Shi'on Kendall-Hodge.
