KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man suspected of stealing a Kansas City, Kansas police car is in custody.
Police Chief Terry Zeigler said in a tweet that the man stole the vehicle while officers were conducting a felony car stop.
It was later found wrecked and abandoned near 74th and Tauromee. The suspect was taken into custody at a short time later near a Taco Bell at 75th and State, where he was allegedly trying to take another car.
