Man killed in late night shooting at Kansas City apartment

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said a man was killed inside an apartment in the 11300 block of Montgall Avenue late Wednesday night.

Police were called to the apartment around 11:15 p.m.

When they arrived, officers found a man with a gunshot wound inside.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he died.

Detectives are talking with people at the scene and say they are not looking for any additional suspects.

Their preliminary investigation indicates the man was inside the apartment when he was shot.
