Man pleads guilty in rape of JoCo Sheriff's deputy

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A man charged with raping a Johnson County, Kan. Sheriff’s Deputy pleaded guilty to several charges Thursday afternoon.

Brady Allen Newman-Caddell pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping, two counts of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy in connection to the crimes that occurred in October 2016

A jury will sentence Newman-Caddell starting on Oct. 15.

Newman-Caddell was a co-defendant in the case with William Luth. Luth pleaded guilty to the charges in December 2017 and was sentenced in February to nearly 41 years in prison.
