KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man who admitted to killing a woman in Overland Park was sentenced Thursday to life in prison.
Korrey Rinke, 26, of Ottawa, Kansas, pleaded guilty in June 2019 to killing Julianna Pappas.
Pappas, 46, was last seen on Aug. 22, 2016, and her body was found several days later along Indian Creek near West 115th Street and Switzer Road.
Police said at the time Rinke and Pappas knew one another, but did not reveal details of their relationship.
He will be eligible for parole after 25 years.
