KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Joshua Randolph will spend 45 years in prison for a fatal shooting that also injured two other people.
Randolph, 38, was convicted in September 2018 of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and three counts of armed criminal action.
According to court records, police found Justin J. Bultler dead in a home on the 3400 block of Park Avenue in August 2015. Two others were also shot but survived.
The victims and witnesses said they saw people from two separate vehicles firing into the home. One of the people from inside the home fired back, damaging at least one of the vehicles.
Witnesses identified Randolph and another man as the shooters.
Investigators found spent shell casings and a driver's side mirror at the scene. The mirror matched damage to a vehicle belonging to Randolph's girlfriend. She told police that Randolph had her vehicle at the time of the shooting.
