Blue Springs homicide suspects in custody following police chase

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two suspects are in custody following a police chase related to a Blue Springs homicide Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 700 Block of Northwest Missouri 7 just before 3 p.m. Friday on a shooting, a police spokesperson said.

When they arrived, Blue Springs police located the man suffering from a gunshot. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers from the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department arrested two suspects in south Kansas City according to the department.

The suspects were arrested in two different locations. One at 9205 Richmond Drive and the other at 96th and Terrace and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

Earlier, police said they were looking for a male suspect who left the area in a white and gray Jeep Cherokee from the 2000s model years with a differently colored hood.
