Man with gunshot wounds dies after being dumped Friday night at a metro area fire station

UPDATE, 9:33 p.m. | Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte confirmed to 41 Action News that a woman has been taken into custody in connection with the investigation after surrendering to law enforcement Saturday night.

EARLIER | A shooting victim died Friday night after being dropped off at the Inter City Fire Department's station.

It's not clear where the shooting occurred, but the victim was found at the fire station about 8:20 p.m., according to Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte.

Police are looking for the woman who drove the car to the fire station at 1702 Blue Ridge Blvd. in Blue Summit, Mo.

The victim's name has not been released.

No motive was given for the shooting.
