KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An 83-year-old man drowned in Truman Lake Friday morning after he fell into the water underneath a boat lift, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at around 9:55 a.m. at the Osage Bluff Marina on Truman Lake.
After the man fell into the water, a family member jumped in to help retrieve him, but was unsuccessful.
People nearby helped pull both of them out of the water.
The man's identity was not immediately made available.
