Multi-vehicle crash shuts down WB I-70 in Lafayette County

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A multi-vehicle crash Monday morning shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 between Oak Grove and Bates City in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said shortly before 11 a.m. that two of the vehicles involved are tractor-trailers.

The extent of injuries was not immediately available.

Drivers are being diverted at Exit 31 (Bates City) and are advised to avoid the area if possible.
