KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The New Century AirCenter in Gardner, Kansas, temporarily closed Thursday evening after a small airplane went off the end of a runway while landing.
No one was injured in the incident, which happened about 4:48 p.m., Johnson County officials said.
The airport was expected to reopen once emergency crews finished responding to the scene. By 6:45 p.m., the air center was back open.
No word on what caused the faulty landing.
