KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police arrested a suspect following the high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

KCPD said detectives working on a property crimes investigation spotted a truck that had been reported stolen in east Kansas City.

The driver saw the officers and drove off at a high rate of speed, police said.

The detectives followed to keep the truck in sight while the department’s helicopter took flight.

A short time later, the truck crashed into a police car and marked patrol cars began chasing it.

The chase came to an end in south Kansas City near East 85th Street and Hickman Mills Drive, where the truck crashed into two more police cars.

The truck was disabled and the driver taken into custody, police said.

The suspect and officers were uninjured, according to KCPD.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. It’s not yet clear what charges the suspect may face.
