Subject in custody following barricaded subject incident in Olathe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Olathe police responded to a barricaded subject incident Saturday afternoon in connection to a previous domestic disturbance.

Officers were called to the 146th block of South Gallery Street after 1 p.m., according to Olathe Sgt. Joel Yeldell, and were investigating a felony.

Yeldell said the Tactical Support Unit was on scene and negotiations had been ongoing for at least five hours.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
