KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One person is in custody after police responded to reports of shots fired outside the Boulevard Brewing Company on Monday morning.
Officers were called to 26th Street and Southwest Boulevard after a report of a disturbance and sound of gunshots. One person was taken into custody “in a matter of minutes” after the call, a Kansas City police spokesperson said.
A nearby school did not go on lockdown because the situation was resolved before it became necessary, but multiple officers were present in case one was needed, police said.
No one was injured in the incident. Charges against the person in custody are not known at this time, police said.
