KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was injured after a shooting on NB I-435 near Bannister Road in Kansas City, Missouri Monday evening.
The victim's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. It's not yet clear what led to the shooting.
A second person in the victim's vehicle was injured from broken glass.
KCPD said it appears that a shootout occurred between the victims and the occupants of a second vehicle. Officials also said two guns and narcotics were located in the victim's vehicle.
Parts of the roadway were closed for several hours so officials could investigate. It was re-opened by about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
