One man seriously injured in Raytown shooting

RAYTOWN, Mo. — A man was shot Sunday in Raytown, Missouri, during a disturbance in the 7200 block of Woodson Road.

According to the Raytown Police Department, officers were called to the scene of an armed disturbance at 10:37 a.m.

The call was upgraded to shots fired while Raytown PD was en route.

Upon arrival, police found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The disturbance turned into a fight, which escalated from there, according to a release from Raytown police.

The shooter — an adult male, who was known to the adult male victim — was arrested.

The shooting victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
