KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Ottawa, Kansas police sergeant was arrested Tuesday.
The officer was booked into Franklin County Jail for battery and criminal threat. 41 Action News is not naming the officer until he has been formally charged.
According to a release from Ottawa police, an incident was reported involving the officer Tuesday morning. Police requested the Kansas Bureau of Investigation look into the allegation.
The incident occurred at the sergeant's home, according to the release.
KBI arrested the officer at about 5:18 p.m. Tuesday near 8th Street and Ash Street in Ottawa.
