Overland Park police investigating shooting at hotel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Overland Park police are investigating a shooting that happened at a hotel early Monday morning.

According to police, the shooting happened around 3:45 a.m. near 108th Street and Metcalf Avenue.

A 32-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. She is expected to survive.

Police said the shooting happened at the Motel 6.

There is no suspect description yet, but police are interviewing multiple witnesses.

Police do believe the suspect is driving a black Avalanche or Escalade-style vehicle.
