OVERNIGHT: 3 injured in separate KCMO shootings

Kansas City police are looking into three separate shootings across the city that injured three people Saturday morning.

Police said the first shooting happened around midnight near E. 64th St. and Bellefontaine Ave.

One person was shot and sustained life threatening injuries.

Within the next hour at around 1:20 a.m., police say another person was shot inside a car on the highway at I-70 and Blue Ridge cutoff. That victim was listed in critical condition.

Police then responded to a third shooting near E. 43rd St. and Indiana Ave. One person was shot in the arm and went to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.

It's unclear whether any of the shootings are related.

There are no suspect details at this time.
