Kansas City police are investigating a shooting at 39th and Hardesty.
Police say a man was shot just before 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities have confirmed this shooting was part of a violent carjacking that happened in the area.
The stolen vehicle is described as a 2005 Silver Aztec. It was heading in an unknown direction.
The shooting happened at the A&Z Food Mart. The victim of the shooting is suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects have been described as as a young black male between the ages of 18-24 and a female. No specific information was given on the female.
