Police investigate after person found dead in vehicle

Kansas City police are investigating after someone was found dead in a car Saturday night.

Just after 9:30 p.m., officers went to the 1600 block of 80th Street on a disturbance call.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive victim inside a vehicle. Kansas City Fire Department personnel responded and declared the victim dead.

The victim was identified as Darren Harris, 46, from Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Police said the original disturbance call and the homicide do not appear to be connected.
