KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a death that happened at Interstate 70 and Interstate 435.
The incident was called in as a car accident just after 3 p.m. with the caller saying a car had struck a guardrail.
Police discovered a person deceased in the car, and initially called the incident a homicide. Police have said it is now just a death investigation, and is not suspicious at this time.
The person has been identified as 37-year-old Larry Wheeler.
The medical examiner was still investigating his cause of death as of late Tuesday morning.
The interchange was closed to investigate the shooting, which will affect fans heading to Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs game that starts at 7:20 p.m.

The Kansas City Chiefs shared an alternate route on Twitter.
I-70 EB near Arrowhead is closed due to a police incident. I-70 traffic traveling east is being diverted to I-435 SB. Fans attempting to access Blue Ridge Cutoff can take 435 SB to Eastwood Trafficway & then use Sni-A-Bar Road to access Blue Ridge Cutoff & east side of stadium.
